Private landlords and letting agents across west Cheshire are invited to attend a Landlord Forum on Thursday 8 November in Ellesmere Port.

The Private Landlord Forum supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and the National Landlords Association will take place between 3.30pm and 6.30 pm at the Civic Suite, Civic Hall, Civic Way.

The Landlord Forum promises to be informative, as well as provide an opportunity for landlords to network and visit the exhibitor stands.

Councillor Angela Claydon, Cabinet Member for Housing said: “As a Council we recognise the importance the private rented sector plays in helping to meet the housing needs of our residents.  The Landlord Forum provides us with an ideal opportunity to engage with the sector and help promote its long term sustainability.”

“For this Forum, landlords and agents will be able to find out how they can comply with the latest fire safety legislation. There will also be the opportunity to hear first-hand from the National Landlords Association about any new and future planned legislation”.

Experts will be on hand at exhibitor stands to discuss topics such as: landlord accreditation, empty homes, energy efficiency, welfare benefits and anti-social behaviour.

Robert Johnson from the National Landlords Association said: “The NLA is keen to work with Cheshire West and Chester Council to help improve housing standards across west Cheshire.   The Landlord Forum is becoming one of the most popular and well attended landlord events across the region and is an ideal way for the NLA to provide face to face support to the sector”.

There will also be a Safeguarding Awareness workshop before the Landlord Forum which will begin at 1.30pm and finish at 3.30pm, just in time for landlords to attend the Landlord Forum.
