Mack Golf, who operated Hooton Golf Club in Ellesmere Port and Knights Grange in Winsford has ceased trading with immediate effect and as a result these golf courses have been closed.
Councillor Louise Gittins, Cabinet Member Communities and Wellbeing said: “We were told on Wednesday morning that Directors of the Company had announced the immediate cessation of trading at all of their UK businesses.
“We are waiting to hear from the receivers that have been appointed to act on their behalf and currently the golf courses have been closed.
“This is very disappointing news and we are now looking at options for the future running of the courses.”
