To mark the centenary of the end of World War I, Cheshire West and Chester Council has encouraged schools and community groups to grow a Victory Garden.

A number of schools and community groups from across the borough signed up for the Victory Gardens competition and received their free Victory Garden starter packs.

Entrants have been sending in photographs and blogs about their gardens progress and after a glorious summer in Cheshire, they have seen some fantastic results.

The competition ends in October and to celebrate the efforts of those groups who participated in the competition there will be a harvest celebration event and prize giving.
